In order to enter in the Institute, a personal document (ID card or passport) or institute pass is required. The Institute is located about 15 km east of the center of Belgrade in the village of Vinča. The entrance is possible with two gates, western (from the settlement Kaludjerica) and the eastern (from the village of Vinča).

How to get to Vinča?

By car

Western gate: The Smederevo road goes to the traffic light near Kaludjerica. After the traffic light, turn the first left, then the first right and about 3 km go straight ahead, to the end of the road. The east gate is the entrance from the village of Vinca. From the church in the village the gate is less than 1000 m away from the west. See the map.

By Our transport

The starting point of our prominently marked bus is in Belgrade on the Republic Square (Trg republike). Our buses start working day at 7:00 toward the institute from: Zemun polje, Karaburma, Mirijevo, Novi Beograd, Vidikovac, Grocka, from the city center (Trg Republike), the settlements Braće Jerković and Zemun. You can get more precise information about the bus schedules and bus stops from your host.

By public transport

You can reach institute Vinča with the bus line 307, whose starting station is in the immediate vicinity of the corner of Ustanicka Street and the Boulevard of King Alexander. You need a bus ticket in the 2nd zone. Get off at the station (bus stop: Mike Petrovića Alasa) opposite the church of St. Peter and Paul in Vinca and take a walk to the institute's east gate.
